2. Use lots of balloons and streamers for decoration.

3. Make your own ticket booth so that when kids arrive they can give their 'ticket' or invitation to the person in the ticket booth. Cute idea.

4. Set up a 'circus tent' using a very large piece of stretchy fabric and even build simple carnival booths with a variety of circus type games for the kids to play.

Perhaps one of the best ways to show your child how much you care is through a fun birthday party. Now, don't let this statement throw you off just yet, thinking that you need to buy your child's affection. That's not what is meant here. It's just that for many years birthday parties have been marked as important events in children's lives, that it seems odd if you, as a parent, do not throw one for your child at least once.

Now you don't have to spend so much to pull off a fun and memorable children's party. It only takes a little creativity and ingenuity to plan a party that would have your kid and his or her guests talking about it for days and weeks after.

Here are some interesting children's birthday party ideas. Remember, these are merely suggestions. You can modify them to your child's liking if you wish.

Themed Party

Children love make believe games because it gives them a sense of wonder and discovery. Thus, what more can you give an inquisitive and curious child than a themed birthday party? Girls can have fairy-themed or Barbie-themed parties, while boys may find some comfort with sports-themed or car-themed parties. Have your child and the guests dress up as their favorite object or character. This needs some amount of preparation but it well worth the effort, especially after you've seen how cute everyone looks on the pictures.

Water Party

You can do this in your backyard, if you have a pool, or rent out an area near the beach. Kids can come in their bathing suits and have a fun time splashing around. If you don't have a pool but want to just have your party in the yard, you can bring out water guns and have the kids play with them during the party. Make sure you inform your guests what kind of party you're throwing so they can bring their suits and a change of clothes.

Animal Party

You can rent out farm animals and bring them to your yard for the kids to pet, or you can ask your guests to bring in their own pets. This birthday party idea not only opens the kids' eyes to different kinds of animals, but also enhances their social skills. Make sure the animals you bring in are tame and friendly, and have been given their necessary shots (just in case something happens).
